Just Because I Love Mabel Lucie Atwell

Sometimes I just have to put somethings on this blog because I love them. These cute illustrations take me right back to my childhood when I had masses of books that were illustrated by Mabel Lucie Atwell.

My Favourite Ingredients - Skye Gyngell

My Favourite Ingreients - Skye Gyngell
Remember when I visited London back in August and told you all about Petersham Nurseries and their fabulous restaurant? Well Skye Gyngell the chef there has a new book out. My mouth is watering just typing this. If you want to buy it then Amazon has copies at half price and if you can't afford that go here to The Independent and see some of her recipes, I bet that tempts you to buy the book.

Easy Living Features Designers Block

People have been emailing me to tell me I was featured in the October issue of Easy Living Magazine and today I went and bought a copy and here it is.
Easy Living Features Designers Block
WHAT THEY SAID:
Designer Di Overton's blog will make you sigh with pleasure at the pictures, desirable items and creative ideas she finds. From quirky reclaimed and reworked porcelain figurines, to gorgeous furniture and artists, her eye for stylish finds shines. Coo, get inspiration or click to buy the things she mentions.
Great to be recognised by people who do, what I do on this blog, for a living. Thank you Easy Living.

Chic Today - Chic and Free

chic today
You must go and visit Chic Today. It's an online magazine and it is seriously glossy. This is an example of the presentation. I just love the way these bags are being modeled.
It isn't only fashion they cover numerous subjects and all very professionally.

I Received My Selvedge Magazine

selvedge magazine
Due to the fact that I live in a tiny hamlet my postman doesn't leave the comfort of his van to deliver my mail. He drives down the track to the gate and throws the post up the path and into the doorway that's always open, if we are in.
This morning he did that with my
Selvedge magazine. It hit a big trunk that is in the porch and got toally bent in one corner. Result - my Selvedge magazine looks like the one in the picture (all the way through).
