These fabulous photographs have been faded and blurred and then actually highlighted in detailed sections with embroidery. How bloody clever is that? Aurélie Mathigot is so talented she can also
crochet irons. Found at Madame le Figaro

Fabulous Textile Designer - Karen Nicol
If you have worked with the likes of Grayson Perry, Clements Ribero, Designers Guild, Anthropologie and Liberty then you know you excel at what you do. Karen Nicol has been around, plying her trade for 25 years. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. A fashion, interiors and gallery embroidery
and mixed media textile designer and to top that she is a visiting Professor and Fellow of The Royal College of art. That's one hell of a CV.

Fine Cell Network - A Fine Idea

If you are in London for Design Week then go over to The Dock in Notting Hill, Tom Dixon's place and see some works by Fine Cell Network. Also there will be, as part of Multiplex at The Dock for London Design Festival, a stitching workshop which is hosted by Fine Cell Work with Karl, an ex offender who spent time at HMP Bullingdon. They emailed me with the info and I was just blown away by the work that prisoners in jails all over the UK have created helped by many influential designers.

What a fabulous idea, you can even sit on Boris if you so wish.

Classical designs,

fabulous embroidery,

commissioned pieces and even

Swag Bags to take it all away, however you will have to pay for them. A fabulous and beautiful way to rehabilitate prisoners and stop them re-offending.

Christmas Shopping

The Sleeping Bag
Because I live deep in the countryside I have done most of my Christmas shopping online but today I have to go into the city and get all those little things I forgot. I know it's going to be manic and I know I am going to be 'chewed to bits' as my family tend to say.
Which of these two bags would you like to be wearing today - the Sleeping Bag or The Sex Bag? Either would do me but unfortunately mine will be a Shopping Bag.
