Abilgail Ahern's Flowers - Fake or Real
On a trip to London a couple of weeks ago I visited Abigail Ahern's fabulous shop in Islington. Trust me to arrive the day before a re-vamp. However I bought some of her fake flowers to use as props for my Ghost Furniture photography and I tell you, it is so hard to tell they are fake.
I was thrilled that she had grey berries, I mean where else would you find grey berries? They look extra fabulous sitting in a vintage French pewter coffee pot
I also bought a cream crysanthemum and a cream rose. As the arangement sits in the middle of the dining table it has to look as good from the front as it does from the back. You MUST take a look at her flower shop online, there is a vast choice. I am definately going back for more.

A Remedy For Floppy Tulips

I love tulips but when they flop they can look odd. I used to have a vase like this one until I dropped it when removing it from the dishwasher. It was always a problem displaying flowers in it, just wish I had seen this earlier. Image via Pinterest

Thinking of Spring

At 9am this morning our power went off as the electricity supplier was doing maintenance on the power lines, it stayed off for 6 hours. Living in an ancient cottage means low beamed ceilings and deep set windows so today the sun decided not to shine into our home and it was DARK! I have spent the day dreaming of Spring and these images kept floating through my mind. Via Skonahem

Odorantes - A Parisian Florist
You can walk down any French street first thing in the morning or early evening and you will see hoards of people carrying fresh flowers from their local florist.

Odorantes is yet another fabulous Parisian florist. It matters not which town you are in every florist's display is a work of art. No wonder the locals buy them so often, who could resist?

Foxgloves

Love this cushion I found at VV Rouleaux with foxgloves made from ribbon, almost as lovely as

the real thing.
