I do love baking but I very much doubt that I could turn out perfect little confections such as these from Talita's Kitchen. Yum!

Honoured To Be In Such Illustrious Company
Dotcom Gift Shop sent me an email the other day informing me of my inclusion in their 16 Delightful Design Blogs. A big thank you to them. I am truly honoured.
A little tear appeared when I saw the image they used had Harvey's favourite hats on it. He would be proud I'm sure.

Knitting In Spanish
I came across this Spanish blog yesterday and couldn't wait to share it with you. It has a translator so there's no need to be puzzled. The most amazing items created by knitting and crochet. I was a knitwear designer back in the 1980s so I know a good knit when I see it. I will just leave you to browse and then you can go and visit the site and be blown away in the same direction as I was.

Elena Dawson - Why So Secretive?
Elena Dawson is a London born fashion designer for both men and women. In her words - “I don’t like to
overplan a collection and prefer it to remain at the idea stage. I don’t
want to explain it to myself, to be too self-conscious of what I make
when I’m making it” whatever her plans the results and other worldly, timeless and really do appeal to my eclectic taste.
However it is quite hard to find out much about this designer as her website has a link to her email and her blog which has loads of images of her designs. Elusive!!!

Daily Decorum - A Leg Up For Designers
Nothing is nicer than finding a website that will accept submissions from designers and will showcase their products for free. Charlotte and Justyna are the two people making this possible with Daily Decorum. in their words - The only criteria is that it’s a unique interiors or lifestyle product that looks good and that we want to buy.
Some of the designs already submitted and this section is a boon to design bloggers like myself for finding new and innovative products.
Here are the simle guidlines to submissions. Great work girls!

Grey Interiors - Pointing You In The Right Direction
There is an unbelievable amount of magazine articles and blog posts around at the moment extoling the virtues of decorating in White, Black or Grey. All a bit monochrome methinks but used in the right light it can be stunning, LIGHT being the operative word. Scandinavian design tends to lean towards this palette but the light in that country is NOT like the light here.
I will not rant on anymore I will just advise you to visit the wonderful blog of Kate Watson-Smyth, Mad About The House.
Today she is using her inner compass to advise on what shade of grey to use in your home by considering which direction your room faces. Bloody genius I say. I love her humour which never fails to make me laugh out loud. This makes her posts all the more interesting. She reckons that grey is so on-trend at the moment that she even bought a grey kitten recently.
Oh and just to prove I know her advice to be sound, this is my West facing kitchen which is, surprise surprise Grey.

DIY Decorations at Design and Form
One thing I love about Christmas is it's a chance to create some quirky and stylish decorations. I just spent some time over at Design and Form in their DIY section. I am officially inspired!
Oh and using a large fork for making pom poms is genius.
