London Made Easy

king's cross
Each time we visit London it's hit and miss as to whether we get a good hotel or not. This time it was a BIG hit. We stayed a hop skip and a jump from Kings Cross/St Pancras. In fact it was right opposite.
saint pancras
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. But before I show you the hotel just take a peek at the new look King's Cross and how wonderful is the revamp of St Pancras? To think it was going to be demolished in the 1980s.

You can't walk through King's Cross without taking a picture of the platform that takes you to the Hogwarts Train.

The roof of the new departures hall is a work of art.

Now to the hotel. Who wouldn't want to stay in a hotel that paints it's exterior in such a way?

Megaro Hotel is simply stylish, nothing pretentious but quirky little details that make yu smile.

The breakfasts are to die for and the choices are numerous. The staff are attentive and friendly and you can watch your breakfast being cooked in the spotless kitchen.

Our waitress at breakfast was charming and went out of her way to ensure everything Harvey had was lactose free, as were his needs.

Even if you aren't staying there I would strongly advise you to eat in their bar/cafe Karpo which is right in front of you, over the road as you exit King's Cross.
Gone are the days when you got out of King's Cross tout suite. In fact on Tuesday morning we had a leisurely stroll to Islington which is just up the road. Try it I insist.

Back To School In Belguim

la classe hotel belguim
My school never looked like this. This old school in Denee in Belguim has been renovated and turned into a hotel without loosing it's heritage. Now called La Classe (very clever)

Stay In Copenhagen

stay hotel in copenhagen
Atelier
I keep promising myself a trip to Copenhagen and when I found fabulous hotel simply called Stay I will now have to keep that promise. Fabulous layouts to the apartments and the facilities lok amazing. I did a conversion from Danish Krona to English £s and it starts at around £167 per night per apartment. Now that's a bargain in my opinion.

On The Rocks In The South of France

Le Clos Saint Saourde
In the heart of Provence sits a Mas from the 18th century built into the rocks - Le Clos Saint Saourde. This is one fabulous place to stay. It has 2 Suites, 2 Guest Rooms, a Cottage and even a Tree House. Not only is it quirky but it is decorated to the highest standards. Needless to say I have saved it in my Travel Bookmarks.

40 Winks

40 winks london
I am still in shock here. This 2 bedroom hotel - 40 Winks -in London, yes London, charges £80 per night for this room,

take a look at that mannequin and

and £65 per night for this one. How cheap is that for London?
40 winks london
Elegant interiors designed by David Carter who actually lives here. Now there is a catch, this is for the use of photographers, stylists, art directors, designers, buyers, models and anyone in the creative and fashion industries as this place has been used for years as a photographic location.

All I need to do now is go back into the fashion industry.
