Not quite France yet but a fabulous place to stop.
Whitstable in Kent. We stopped here to
pick up a huge chest of drawers to take to Tara (Paris Parfait). Whilst Harvey and Luke of Kent and London, the clever bloke who made the drawers, loaded said piece onto the van, I tripped around the workshop. Like a pig in sh*t I was. I love workshops especially
when there is so much work in progress to see.
The famous Alphabet Drawers,
dressers, tables, fireplaces
even somewhere to hang your bike
then outside to help with
the easy bit which was putting 30 drawers in the back of the van, yes 30. Much easier than
the job Harvey and Luke had of getting that great big cabinet on the roof rack. Who would be a man eh?

I am so lucky to have you and Harvey for friends! And I'm thrilled you got to meet Luke, who is not only extremely talented, but charming and down-to-earth. We've come full circle, as you were the one who first told me about Luke's Alphabet Drawers. Then Luke kindly brought them to me in France, which prompted the order for the 30-drawer chest and you meeting Luke. As for Luke, I'd happily let him make practically every piece of furniture I own; he is THAT talented! xoxox
Very cool that you were able to check out the inner workings of that shop. Nice work on attaching the cabinet to the roof!
