I have been a designer since the moment I opened my eyes. As a child of the 1950s I lived in London. This was only 6 years after the end of World War II and the place was full of bombed buildings. I would wander the streets itching to climb into the exposed rooms and do my thing. I never did but I truly believe some people are born to design and I am, thankfully, one of those people.
The World is a truly amazing place and too many of its inhabitants just never take the time to look up and take that beauty in. Here at Designers Block I hope to encourage you to do just that.
I have the huge advantage of living in the beautiful Northumberland National Park so I just have to look out of my window to be inspired.
I have been blogging since 2005. I do it 5 days a week (I take weekends off).
I still get a thrill whenever I find something new to blog about and the joy of sharing never leaves me.

The inspiration I take from the things that surround me have enabled me to create my own range of Ghost Furniture - where we take vintage finds from the flea markets and brocantes of France, bring them home and turn them into new and beautiful items with a touch of 21st century eco-chic.
