Cheltenham a Jewel in the Cotswolds
![]() |
| Just a small part of the Literary Festival |
I've
spent the last couple of months travelling. On my way back from France I
joined a friend at the Cheltenham Literary Festival. It was my first
ever visit to Cheltenham and I was literally blown away (forgive the
pun).
I have never seen so many stunning buildings in one
relatively small space. The place is full of fabulous individul shops 2 of which I will show you this week.
Take look for yourselves. I've captioned the
images.

Making An Entrance
It's said that your eyes are the doorway to your soul. Well feast your eyes on this lot. I love a door with a story whether it be a tactile old oak door, a chipped paint door or a totally wacky one that says 'don't pass me by I have something to tell you'. Found at Architecture and Design

Architecture You Can Wear
I love architectural details, leather and bags but never before have I seen them all brought together. By Konstantin Kofta

A Day In Soissons
Today we stayed close to home but went into the city of Soissons. One of my favourite supermarkets is unique. Foods from all over the world and plenty that are home grown. Above is a form of aparagus I have never seen before.
Vapour streams from each counter.
After shopping we popped into the Cathedral
It is stunning as you can see.
Tomorrow Charlotte and I are off to Paris for a couple of days. Well why not?

When Is a Ruin Not a Ruin?
When it is FABULOUS. I am in awe as to what these architects - WT Architecture - have done with this ruin. So so clever to have light coming through that huge crack on the gable end. The house is on the Isle of Coll off the coast of Scotland. Found at Thirty Months to NYAA

Eley Kishimoto Celebrates Centre Point's Second Coming
Using the architecture and 1960's heritage of Centre Point Eley Kishimoto, famous for its incisive and intelligent print design has developed a series of patterns for Almacantar, the owners of Centre Point. Inspired by the building they have created a one-off fashion range. The patterns will be used in Centre Point's new identity, this could be in the form of patterns and materials in interior and exterior applications.
Almacantar's aim is to make Centre Point a landmark destination in London. As I can remember Centre Point being built back in 1966 I have an affinity with it and look forward to witnessing it's second coming.
