Something To Do With Those Leftover Logs
If you have any logs leftover after the winter here's something you could do with them. I wish I could paint like this and I would try doing the view from my window on one of mine, to take with me when I sell up. ByAlison Moritsugu. Found at Inhabitat

I've Gone Soft In The Head
The company that makes these amazing animal heads is based in Barcelona and is aptly named Softheads. The choices are endless
You can choose from their collection which includes
unicorns (love)
You can commision a likeness of your dog,
a favourite scarf or jacket can be used and
these clever people even have their work hanging in The Hotel Ritz Palace and
in famous Spanish chef - Paco Perez's restaurant. I am impressed!

The Nearest I'll Get To The Liberty Ship
One of my favourite sights in London is the Ship Weather Vane that sits atop Liberty.
So I suppose it was no surprise that I was drawn to these kites available from The Shop Floor Project.
Very patriotic colours that look as good in the sky as they do in the home.

Architectural Thinking In The Kitchen
Natascha Madeiski, now based in the UK, teaches architecture and in addition she designs lighting and furniture, to collaborative public art and independent research into advanced manufacturing and fabrication.
Most recently, she has entered the fragile world of ceramics, as always looking for innovation through experimentation with the materials and processes involved.
These items are the result of a collaboration between Natascha Medeiski and Linnie Mclarty. Linnie designed and made each of the metal objects for the containers.
Well I for one am impressed. Each and every porcelain storage jar has its own brass server attached. Superbly designed.

Raw Wood and Lace
Just how bloody gorgeous are these stools/side tables? Raw wood stencilled with lace, so far apart they belong together and I also love the striped version. I think I may have to take a trip into the forests that surround my cottage.
