Sitting on a terrace, sipping wine, after a long hike up a steep hill in Tuscany, last week I looked down and saw this. On closer inspection I found that the giant leaves were on the top of sticks of rhubarb. This plant makes a lovely backdrop for any bright coloured flower.
How I wish I had green fingers.
