My My My Friend at Me Me Me
I have a very good friend that I try to avoid because she has the most amazing shop and website Me Me Me and I can never resist a purchase when I visit either one.
Gillian Bolam is a woman on a mission to find fabulous designer accessories, the likes of which you may never have seen before. She also stocks a massive range of Pandora Charms and Troll Beads - I try to avoid these at all costs as I would just get hooked.
She owns the most tactile shop I have ever visited. I bought a handbag there 3 years ago and I have used it every single day since. I am serious, I have. Everyone comments on it and I have never seen another like it - ever.
If I were you I wouldn't hang around here much longer I would get myself over there - NOW!
Before you go - she ships worldwide
All In a Very Good Cause - Bid on 1st October
I have long bee an admirer of Enzie Shahmiri of World Market Portraits, she is one hell of an artist.
Now she has gone even further up in my estimation as she is auctioning her fabulous painting - Sudanese Girl on Ebay today - 30th September - 10th October.
Note that this is for a very good cause as all proceeds go to United Nations Benefiting the People of Darfur. I can think of no better cause.
A few words from Enzie Shahmiri:
This is a portrait of an actual Sudanese child as she was standing at one of the feeding centers in Darfur. The original photo was taken by an aid worker named Stephanie Zito who gave me permission to use it as a reference for this portrait. Her sad look captivated me from the moment I saw the photo and created the urge to make a difference. I hope that through the efforts of many we can make a sizable contribution to people who really could use our help.
On my web site I have also provided a direct link to the Donation page for UNHCR in case someone would like to make a smaller contribution.
Every little bit helps and we all can make a difference!

I just can't stop looking at this picture. These glass pieces by Heather Gillespie are so beautiful. I can't even begin to work out how she does it.
A Little Bit Of Paris To Light Up Your Life
Now as you may haver heard me say before - I don't do wonky. I like things to be symetrical but somehow this fabulous Eiffel Tower Lamp doesn't disturb me.

A Soupçon of Light
Lights in the form of soup bowls called A Soupçon of Light. How clever is that, I wish I'd thought of it. By Jon Male
A Frilly Wall Light
I think this wall light by Jo Davies looks as though it has a can can dancer inside it. Made from ceramic, I just love it.

Why Decorate?
Makes you wonder why we all bother with colour charts and the like when you see interiors like this. Though they have gone to town on the cloakroom.
Wonderful stuff found at Fresh Locations

It Makes You Want To Scream
This blog is reserved for beautiful, innovative and inspiring things but at the moment it's sort of embarrassing to only do those sort of posts. People all over world are reeling from economies taking a nose dive, banks closing or being taken over and tax payers having to take the brunt of it all whilst the people who caused it get off scot-free, some even being rewarded.
I watched a programme last night about 1968 and how events that happened that year changed the world. Now the majority of people only think about celebrity and don't get off their butts to try and make that sort of change again.
I remember 1968 vividly, bad things happened but good came out of it. Stand up and be counted because this ain't going to get better on its own.
The image above is of my grandson Billy - I just hope it gets better for his sake.
I would love to hear your comments.

Caroline Swift - Totally Irresistible Simplicity
I was totally in 7th Heaven when I found Caroline Swift's website. She designs and makes all these fabulous things - ceramics, cashmere tops, wonderful dresses and glass baubles that you put water in and tiny flowers, how simple for Christmas decorations.
You can buy online and everything comes in one of those amazing boxes, each with a ceramic rose and tag. What I love more than anything is the simplicity of her designs - the mark of an excellent designer.
So guess who will be a customer in the very near future - no me, silly.
