Floating Homes of Paris

laurent chehere flying houses
These are not floating homes but kites. French photographer Laurent Chehere flew these amazing kites over Paris and snapped away. The project was actually called Flying Houses. I can't stop looking at them, the detail is amazing. Love the way people and objects have been placed on them and that fire (bottom image) is truly stunning. I wonder if he really set it alight or whether it's part of the fabric.

how do you find them Di?? You really have a gift for hunting out the most interesting, quirky and beautiful things - well done you!
Justin and I couldn't believe they are real kites - we can't work out how he's done it - clever.

Wow! If you didnt let us no they were kites we still wouldnt no how the houses were "floating". Fantastic idea, detail is unreal, brilliant post and pictures!

Just wonderful, this totally appeals to me. I was looking at photos of flung beverages the other day, also beautiful, also in France.
