The French and Their Paints and Brushes
Many people wodnder why all my paints and brushes used for Ghost Furniture come from France. The reason is - their brushes can be shaken dry and used again straight after washing and their paints for wood and metal are completely matt, no sheen at all. I can get neither in the UK.
Today was my day to visit the paint suppliers and I always enjoy it. Choosing new colours and stocking up on more brushes,
Here's my stash of brushes purchased today.
Shame my little French granddaughter Tiana didn't get the same buzz.

so funny. you go to france to get your matte paints, and i come to england to get my high gloss paints. have you tried the annie sloan chalk paint? very matte.
xo
I have tried Annie Sloan once. They are ok for shabby chic but my paint finishes are solid matte and it took about 5 coats to get the same effect as i get with my French paints.
