I Didn't Know Scorched Glass Could Be So Beautiful

fire scorched glass vintage decanters
I found these today at Modern 50. I can't stop looking at them. They are Fire scorched vintage decanters. I am sorely tempted to raid my drinks cupboard and set my collection of decanters on fire.

You have been snowed in for two weeks ...and still have drinks in the cabinet?? I shall miss the snow, however my shop has only seen one customer all week. Thank God for mail order.

Ha, today was 101 degrees-a record in the DC area, US--scorcher for sure, but not the right kind to make these beauties. And, these have long been my passion, and found some on Factory20.com site a couple years ago, fell in love with them-and finally found kindred souls to toss bottles into a fire with me! Somebody, please do this and let me know--I live in an apartment, so not sure where to safely do this experiment!

PS Factory20 & Modern50 is apparently the same site? I always knew them as Factory20--Ironically, they are down the street from me...I should go buy a scorched bottle, right?
