This is my lounge and the best thing that ever happened to it was when it attained a flat screen plasma TV set.
I have mirrored alcoves so the big hulking thing that was in the room up to a few years ago doubled in size as soon as it was placed in one of the alcoves. Phew the memory just makes me angry.
I hate rooms being centered around the TV as most of the programmes are crap now we've got hundreds of channels showing repeats, repeats+1hour and those awful reality shows. That off my chest I will now wax lyrical about my plasma TV.
I placed it on a wall behind a lovely comfy French sofa so I can have my back to it when I please and read a good book. If there is something of some interest on I can blog on my computer, at my desk in one of the mirrored alcoves and still see it behind me. Subtitles are back to front but never mind.
My room instantly became much bigger as the incredible hulk had gone and freed up a lot of floor space. Simple but very expensive as I bought it when they first came onto the market and now they are a fraction of the price but I have had years of pleasure from it so I shouldn't complain and I'm not.
