My mouth is watering just looking at these pictures of the Paris flea markets. The best of all is Saint Ouen which covers an amazing 75 acres. A spring Sunday spent in this market needs to be taken at a slow pace. Stopping for coffee and lunch at one of the authentic Parisian market cafes.
Almost every dealer ships so you don't have to lug the large items home. The French seem to have a never ending stash of old items. I once bought a beautiful old shutter from a flea market in Nice which I have hanging on a wall in my cottage. It is so tactile and makes me think of the sunshine of Southern France every time I look at it or touch it.
