There's Villages Under Here
Just down the road and around the corner from my cottage sits this fabulous man made lake. To enable the building of this beautiful place villages had to be submerged. Last week we took the Ferry with our daughter Sara, her husband Geoff and our grandson Billy around the lake. It's a strange feeling to be floating over someone's submerged home.
This is an old coal seam that has been left exposed. There were coal mines in this area only 40 years ago.
Billy loved the ferry though what this expression means I do not know.
Alongside the lake the pine trees are majestic.
Most of the ancient trees are covered in moss.
Harvey had a JR Tolkien moment.
People's ashes are scattered around the lake and some have the strangest monuments. A hedgehog???
By the end of our little jaunt Billy had had enough of the camera.

I am curious as to how old this project is? It's slightly eerie! That is a great shot of Harvey!
This is Primrose by the way Di. I am in the very early stages of starting my own little Blog. xx
It looks gorgoues. Even if it is so sad to know people's home are under it
