Masterfully painted. There is a somewhat gothic feeling, but not as pitch black as most gothic work. Rather, should I say the pieces are fairly elegant?

More like German 16th century Baroque still life artist, Georg Flegel, except his paintings had meaning- every exquisite detail told a story.
I find these disturbing and desperate.
Who has $600 bucks for shoes?
