My Mother's Day
Yesterday was Mother's Day here in the UK. I had a fabulous day with the family at an amazing place in Newcastle - As You Like It - I didn't just like it, I loved it. We ate traditional Sunday Lunch, drank wine and to top it all my singing grand daughter Georgia (above) was performing there all afternoon.
As You Like It is an eclectic treasure trove. I could happily have bought every piece of furniture for Ghost. Look at those lights, they even had a trapeze in between them.
Billy started by having a ladybird painted on his face.
Then he and Sonny went the whole hog and became mini Spidermen.
Marcie made do with flowers to match her ice cream and Sonny got bored with Spiderman. It took me an age to rub it off.
Garry bought me The Killers CD because he knows I love their music.
Sara is a beautician and made me my own signature bath oil for relaxing. It smells wonderful.
Charlotte sent me this amazing Tin Postcard from Paris. How clever is that?
And Georgia sang like a Northumbrian Songbird, which incidentally is what she has come to be know as. I managed to record a tiny part of her performance if you want a little listen click on the video.
An absolutely perfect day.

they are so beautiful. you must be so proud.
You don't look old enough to have a grown up grand daughter - she's very talented & has your good taste, a gorgeous dress!
Sounds like a lovely day and looks like fantastic surrounds!
Well you were certainly - and appropriately - spoiled for Mother's Day! Great photos of everyone (but where's the one of you). So good to hear Georgia sing "Blowin' in the Wind." Such talent! xoxox
Sounds like the most perfect of Mother's Days. And your granddaughter is just so gorgeous not to mention her voice!
What a lucky Grandmother you are to have Georgia serenade you. I like the songs she chooses to sing!!
Happy Mother's day!
