Paris - Day 6 - A Scenic Detour
On leaving Versailles, wet and bedraggled Charlotte took a wrong turning and we ended up going through the centre of Paris. She is not at all fazed by driving in Paris but for me it is the one place I WILL NOT drive. I've driven through New York for God's sake but never Paris. She did the Arc de Triomphe with little effort, my eyes were tight shut. We drove down the Champs Elysee as all the lights were coming on and as usual Paris stuns and amazes you with its beauty, no matter how many times you see it.
We drove along the Seine out to the east side of Paris and I photographed 2 of my favourite things, from the car window.
Those fabulous old advertising pillars with their beautiful domed tops, so much more stylish than a bill board and the Palace of Justice with it's fabulous turrets and as is the case with every building in Paris it is beautifully lit.

Memories, memories, memories!!!
I can totally relate.
My eyes were squeezed tight closed, just reading about it!
