Paris - Day 5 - Le Jardin Francais

The French take their gardens very seriously. For instance you don't usually sit on the grass in the parks you sit on a bench. Grass is for looking at. Having said that in Place des Vosges in The Marias district no one cares.

Take a look at this website - Prince Jardinier - it is a typical collection of French items for the garden. I think even I could be persuaded to do a bit of gardening if I could wear one of those lovely linen shirts. Then I could relax on that fabulous rocking sun lounger looking at a wall decorated with a beautiful decal with pockets to hold fresh flowers. Ahhh.

That lounger looks fab, but I fear I'd not be able to get on or off it without a certain degree of unladylike-ness...

Love the clean lines of the lounger, but I think I'd fall off!
