Well I promised I would report on my trip to the Local Fair and here it is. Exciting stuff eh? It rained as it usually does at these events and the same old same old was there but it was fun as all the locals dutifully turn up and get progressively drunk in the beer tent.
The musicians were playing the Northumbrian pipes and were the most miserable bunch I have ever come across. The black smoke kept appearing in the skies as a team of very bad stunt motor cyclists kept driving through hoops of fire.
There were plenty of strange coloured sheep with weird horns and I discovered they are coloured by dipping them in dye - now that's cheating.
