Hotel in Tuscany - The Mona Lisa's House

Last year we stayed in the house where the Mona Lisa apparently lived and the Kenneth Branagh film Much Ado About Nothing was made. It is called Vignamaggio and it is on a hill above Greve in Chianti of which I have written before. This is a stunning property and we rented the cottage in the gardens. WOW I was blown away by the scenery and the property itself. They have their own vineyards that you are allowed to wander into. The difference in standing inside a vineyard as opposed to just seeing it from the road is awesome. The vines sweep away up and down the slopes and it makes you feel as if you are on a roller coaster ride.
This place is not cheap but they told us that when the film crew and actors had finished their filming they stayed on for a while as they had become so attached to the place. If you never actually go there at least take a look at their website and you will see what I mean.
