Antiques To Buy Online

It's hard work surfing the net to find unusual sites and sometimes I am reluctant to go onto sites that have a name that doesn't appeal. This one certainly didn't as it is called Steptoe Antiques. Anyone who watched British TV in the 1960s will remember Steptoe and Son. Not exactly the arbiters of good taste these 2 rag and bone men. I hope you Americans can understand what I am going on about. Anyway this site actually sells antiques online which is unusual as they usually just show a gallery of items they have in their shops. Take a good look at this site it has some great stuff and it is not expensive.

In America, we had a version of your Steptoe and Son in the 1970s, called "Sanford and Son," about an older black man living in the ghetto with his grown son. The two ran a salvage yard in their home. Consequently, they always had loads of tacky junk around their house. The comedian Redd Foxx, known for his blue comedy shows, played Fred Sandford.
