Every now and again I can use this blog to get something off my chest and today I am doing just that.

I think it all started with 24 hour news, there's not enough news to fill 24 hours so now we have to listen to speculation from the people who were supposed to inform us.

Then followed Reality TV. Yes everyone seems to want their 15 minutes of fame.

Even the government got involved. Our Prime Minister started ringing the contestants on these shows to wish them luck. Hasn't he got a proper job?

Scares about Global Warming have been around for years and suddenly the governments realised they could actually get more revenue by taxing people who weren't Green. Rising population is a much bigger problem, how long before they jump on this bandwagon?

Health scares blown out of all proportion by governments and the press. Billions being wasted on needless vaccines because they are scared of losing votes. What happened to politicians that wanted to change the world?

A new thing is now occurring in the British Media and that is famous people crying on TV. Last night even our Prime Minister gave it a go.

Do the politicians and the press take us for idiots? Because if they do and it continues in this vein we will have produced a generation of just that - IDIOTS!

Sometimes you find a magazine that makes you just want to sip a coffee whilst reading it. Very rarely does this happen to me when I find one on the internet. Here is an exception. e-magDECO is produced by a fellow blogger in France. Laeriss is the author of A Heart in Provence.

but the cleverest thing is - when you roll over an image it will give you information on everything you see. OK so I can't read French but it doesn't take a genius to get the gist.

Love this collection by Studio Wieki Somers at Galerie Kreo in Paris. Made using silk flowers and a resin and gel coating to give that icy effect. Takes flower arranging to new heights.

A Night With The Stars

On Saturday evening we were invited to a 21st Birthday Party in The Village Hall. The theme was Movies and we had to go dressed as Film Icons or Film Characters. We met in the pub beforehand and I nearly had to go home and change my underwear I laughed so much.

Harvey and I were Bonnie & Clyde but I was mistaken most of the evening for a French Hooker. Note Inspector Clouseau in the background.

There were 2 Marilyn Monroes one of which had trouble all evening with his cleavage which kept riding up and out of his dress. He also won best Female Fancy Dress

There was a larger than life Madonna and a Nun and

even a World War II Pilot (the character I have forgotten).

Darth Vader who was sweating like fury under that mask

Cruella de Vil looking more than a little cruel

Buzz Lightyear who's wings kept hitting people

A Blues Brother, just the one

An Audrey Hepburn of course

and the winner of the best Male Fancy Dress who was a bit upset when I recognised him under all that paint.
A great night was had by all but not such a good morning after.

WANTED!

One of these Guest Houses in my garden, by Beltima who were showing at Maison Objet last month. If it's too expensive then I could have one of those Beach Huts (bottom image) and the guests wil have to sleep standing up.

I Wait With Baited Breath

I visited Facebook last night to see some pictures of my Grandchildren and this came up on my sidebar, I clicked in and found this. It's not in production yet but I LOVE it. By Francesca Romana Correale
