I am just blown away by Kathy Dalwood's new busts to celebrate the London 2012 Olympics. She is so imaginative and goes to great lengths to get the details just right.
These plaster busts are all 33cms tall and have either a collection of sporting items or iconic London landmarks.
Note the odd shoulder decorations - one Admiral Lord Nelson style, the other Punk.
She trawls the souvenier shops of London to find the iconic landmarks and casts from those originals. I know this because I have been shopping with her and have been in her studio whilst she casts.
She has the patience of Job and deserves as many medals as this lady has.
She already has loads of orders for these and I can see many a tourist going home with at least one of these in their suitcases this year.
