My Collaboration With Kathy Dalwood

Big apologies for making you all wait so long for me to divulge just who it is that I have been collaborating with - KATHY DALWOOD

she of Concrete Figurine fame. She who has the most amazing house which I have had

the pleasure of staying in whilst we have been working together and yes I sat and had breakfast at this table. Now for the big reveal


Over to Kathy to explain, in her words, what it is all about:
In this startling, beautiful and inventive collection, French flea market frames and furniture along with exquisite trimmings from the hidden merciers and passementeries of Paris are brought together with industrial grey concrete tassels - stunningly realistic pieces created by direct casting from real vintage silk originals – to create a range of striking, one-off, sculptural accessories.

The details are amazing. I still can't believe it's concrete.

We met through our blogs, we found we were like minded designers and things evolved, resulting in what we call - A Beautiful Collaboration. Now we just hope and pray that you all think the same.

When selling online it's imperative to have great photography. Lene Bjerre in Denmark is no exception. These gorgeous images lead you to product pages that do not disappoint.

Not Bad For £150

Found this purely by accident. Next is a shop I don't frequent but maybe I will have to rethink this idea. £150 for a soft draping leather jacket that's lined is not bad at all.

A Fabulous Grey and Red Loft

I found this fabulous loft at Cote Maison and just had to show you it. I have a thing at the moment for dark grey and red as I have been creating a kid's desk and chair set in those colours for Ghost Furniture. The difference red makes when adding it to grey is truly stunning, as is the case in this fabulous home.

Cup Lights By Laura Pregger

I love what Laura Pregger does with ceramics. I have featured her work on Designers Block previously.
These lights made from cups are so clever, look at the top of the chandelier and the way the handles make a gorgeous pattern.

Grow Up England

What a shame it is that the first World Cup to be held in South Africa has been marred by immature men, who get paid millions of £s per year, acting like babies. Homesick, depressed....... get on with it England and do something useful like the company where I found this image, they do clothes for twins - Tot-a_Lot

Normal Service Will Be Resumed.......................

It's been a manic week. The week before you launch a new website is always the worst. Checking, re-checking, adding stuff, checking again................... all this whilst still designing, creating and photographing new pieces of Ghost Furniture.
I have hardly blogged this week and for that I apologise. We are nearly there so bear with me PLEASE. I have however done 3 new posts below.
