The Garden Station

the garden station
I was in London AGAIN last weekend, delivering more Ghost Furniture to a customer and on the journey home we took a scenic detour. Not that far from home is The Garden Station a fabulous old Railway Station turned into a fabulous garden with beautiful walks.
the garden station
The old waiting room is now a lovely tea shop, of course I took refreshments.
the garden station
You can walk along the old track which is now grass and

gravel. Take a look at those old railway bridges.

Peeping through the trees I spotted a lake then just down the road is
the garden station
a fabulous castle. How's that for a detour?

Vegetables - All Stiched Up

vegetables By Scholten and Baijings
Don't go thinking these are just vegetables because they are not, they are made from fabric and stitched in an way to make you think they are real. Trompe l'eol takes on a whole new meaning. I mean just take a look at

A Concrete Kitchen

I just fell in love with a kitchen. This one by Steininger in Austria is made of concrete just look

the truly clever thing is that the drawers and doors are in 8mm thick concrete but

STOP PRESS: The Great Escape

LAMBS IN NOTHUMBERLAND
The sheep and their lambs have just escaped from their field and are happily munching on the grass outside my cottage door. Saves having to cut the grass I suppose but I now must go and find the farmer and tell him they are out.
Whilst typing this I had to run out and chase them as one of the lambs was eating my alpine plants. Ah life in the country.

Spring In My Little Hamlet

northumberland at springtime
At this time of year I really appreciate living in a tiny hamlet in the middle of the National Park of Northumberland. I step out of my cottage onto a daffodil path,
northumberland at springtime
see new life in the fields all around me,
northumberland at springtime
some residents even come over to meet me and say hello,
northumberland at springtime
there's always one isn't there,
northumberland at springtime
new life springs up in my garden and
northumberland at springtime
sunrise gives clarity to everything around me then
northumberland at springtime
sunset changes the whole scene as if by magic. There's worse places to live.

Grassland

landscape rug wheredidyoubuythat
In my lounge sits this rug which has a tuft of grass growing out of it, well not literally as it's false but this is the best thing I have ever bought. They still sell them on my old website wheredidyoubuythat.com. Yesterday I discovered Grassland that sell
grass sheep
grass sheep,
grass orb
grass orbs that look
grass orb
fabulous in groups,
grass letters
grass letters and
grass lampshade
grass lamp shades. I get so many comments on my rug but am sure if I put that sheep on it my guests would have it confirmed that I truly am crazy.
