Spitalfields Before Google Street Map

In the days before cameras and Google Street Maps this was the way to record how streets looked. These fabulous detailed drawings were done in 1838 by John Tallis “to assist strangers visiting the Metropolis through all its mazes without a guide.” How quaint is that?
