My Hopes For 2010 - With Truth Comes Hope

hopes for 2010
Before I start I would like to wish each and every one of you a very Happy New Year.
hopes for 2010
Which one are you? Well I subscribe to the Keep Calm and Carry On motto. Not for me the doom and gloom merchants, they can go and take a running jump, as my Grandmother used to say.
hopes for 2010
What sort of mind state do we think our kids will have if they go through their lives listening to this scaremongering?
hopes for 2010
I want the truth about global warming not the stuff that sells newspapers.

I want the truth about the Bankers, we all know what their name rhymes with but we need to know how it all really happened.
hopes for 2010
I want the truth about Politicians and why they take the decisions they do.
hopes for 2010
I want answers to everything that puts my kid's futures in jeopardy.
hopes for 2010
I want the truth so it doesn't happen again.
hopes for 2010
Most of all I want my kids to look to the future
hopes for 2010
with a glad heart
hopes for 2010
and the only way that's going to happen is to give them HOPE.
Just as a foot note: I was brought up in an era of hope, it made me the person I am today. Is it too much to ask that my children and their children experience the same?

Hope, sadly enough, is hard to come by anymore. Most people have none and can't seem to find much to be hopeful about. I am trying to have a positive outlook, and I've found it does make a difference.

Best wishes for the new year.

The X Files had it right.

I think there's a lot of hope all around us. The big news stories can get us down, but you never have to look far to see people doing good deeds for others that go unnoticed but not unfelt. Yes,there's a lot of negativity, but then, hasn't there always been? We're so hooked in 24/7 to what goes on in the world and negativity sells. So I think that it's a matter of seeing more of the downside than there is actually being more than any other time. After all, what could have been more negative that what Hitler did to the world, and yet there was reason to hope then too. The 2000's were a trying decade and let's all hope that the next one will be the feast that follows the famine. Happy New Year!
