A Journey Through England
We set off for Oxford on Tuesday morning and the weather was glorious. We needed a tyre change so we stopped in our local market town of Bellingham and dropped the car off at our local garage. A walk around the corner and there sits a bench overlooking the river for you to sit and rest. How's this for a waiting room?
Cuddy's Well sits opposite the garage, the locals call it The Concrete Dustbin but I think it's charming. The steps lead up to the Church.
On the other side of the road a charming row of cottages in a little private lane.
A stop for coffee and cake on our way West at The Melmerby Bakery taken in the garden with views to die for.
Passing the edge of the Lake District. I love these hills that look as though someone has punched them.
I have just got back so will be posting more tomorrow. Time for tea methinks.
