Ornamented Life In Close Up

Ornamented Life at Horne
I know most people will have seen the fabulous broken crockery pieces by Ornamented Life which have all their imperfections filled with 24 carat gold but now we can see them in close up. I think they are stunning and what a beautiful way to restore something that would otherwise been thrown away.

Reminds me of Julie Krakowski's work, emphasize the imperfections!

and here's a quote to go with your lovely photos: "When the Japanese mend broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold. They believe when something has suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful." (Barbara Bloom)
