How Do They Do That?

wmf ad campaign carved vegetables
These carvings from white radish, carrot and pineapple were done for an advertising campaign by WMF the German company who make those super sharp knives.
I found these over at Enzie Shahmiri's blog, which by the way you should visit. She is not only a fabulous artist but features some really stunning stuff.
Back to the sculptures - WOW!

Incredible...

I wonder if she froze them first - the pineapple would be mighty messy otherwise!

Ah, but they make so much more than knives! WMF are famous for their art nouveau pieces. I am a big fan of Enzie Shamiri, WMF and these sculptures! Amazing. xo

Seriously, this has to be the most ephemeral of all arts. I makes me hungry too.

And who will eat them before they shrivel up. Eating them would feel sacreligious.
