We're On Our Way - Planning Permission Passed

ghost furniture cottage extension
On Monday this week we received THE letter from the National Parks telling us that our planning permission had been granted without ANY changes. How brilliant is that?
So I have decided to let you all follow us on our journey into making our tiny cottage into a large cottage. Imagine you get to be there but to never have to clean up any mess.
Above is a mood board for the massive kitchen/dining area that will be added to our ground floor. The oak cupboard is one of 3 that will be given the Ghost Furniture treatment, by painting them Verdigris and Copper and they will be reincarnated as kitchen cupboards. I love the idea of Verdigris and Copper as a colour scheme as it fits beautifully with our surroundings and the mellow woods we will be using.
We will be hitting the French flea markets for reclaimed doors, floors etc so if you like you can come with us on our buying trips - without the jet lag.
The picture with the ostrich on it is via the lovely Florizel

Love those colors.....copper and verdigris!!!

I am working on an altered book right now with that color scheme.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes, Di. They were truly appreciated.
I can't imagine how you missed the truffles!

Fantastic news! Am thrilled you got permission and can now embark on a creative journey. As for reclaimed doors, I have some wood/stained glass doors from a French stairwell, if you're interested. (Two side panels, a main door panel and a panel over the three panels). :) Make sure you plan your trip in March so we can go to Chatou! xoxox
