British photographer Tim Hetherington has won the prestigious World Press Photo Award for 2007 with a picture of an exhausted US soldier inside a bunker in Afghanistan.
Being the mother of a young man it makes my stomach churn to think what it must be like when your son is sent to fight. Whatever ones feelings about the wars that are being waged in the Middle East this image must make everyone stop and think - what on earth is this all about?
