A Day In Edinburgh - Want a Look?
Today we awoke to brilliant sunshine so we decided to take a trip to Edinburgh for the day. Due to the fact that we live right up in the North of England we are only 2 hours away from Scotland's capital city. Edinburgh is stunning at any time of year but at Christmas it is just that little bit more special.
Here take a look
THE CHRISTMAS FAIR ON PRINCES STREET
SAUSAGES ON THE GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKET - PRINCES STREET
A FORTUNE TELLER AT THE CHRISTMAS FAIR. NOT MY SORT OF THING I LIKE SURPRISES
AN ARTISAN CHEESEMONGER IN EDINBURGH NEW TOWN
I LOVE THE WAY THEY SELL APPLES WITH THE CHEESE - ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SNACKS
THIS TRADITIONAL FISHMONGER SEEMED TO HAVE JUST THROWN ALL THE FISH IN THE WINDOW
THE BIGGEST PUB I'VE EVER SEEN - THE DOME ON GEORGE STREET - ALSO IT HAS THE BIGGEST CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS I'VE EVER SEEN.
THESE ICONIC IRON BALCONIES GRACE HUNDREDS OF GEORGIAN HOUSES IN EDINBURGH - EVERY ONE IS EXACTLY THE SAME
A GORGEOUS HOTEL FRONT ON GEORGE STREET. BEHIND THAT WINDOW LADIES WERE SIPPING TEA. THE WIERDO OUTSIDE IS HARVEY
JENNERS - EDINBURGH'S FAMOUS DEPARTMENT STORE HAS IT'S BALCONIES DRAPED IN TINY WHITE LIGHTS WITH A CHRISTMAS TREE UP TO THE CEILING
I did go in the famous Harvey Nichols (Patsy's favourite shop) but the pictures didn't turn out - sorry.
