Sweet Paris History

la Mere de Famille
I adore this old sweet shop in Paris - la Mere de Famille. They have been there since 1761. I didn't even know they had sweets in 1761. It's one of those old Parisian shops that has never seen the need to change at all. Isn't it wonderful? I understand that there are a few of them in Paris but I just cannot remember where exactly I saw this one. Anyone know?

There's another one in Neuilly, within walking distance of the American Hospital.

That storefront is a work of art-and the confections look divine! I need to put it on my list of places I must visit!
