Putting It Together - A Victorian Bathroom

Some of the most luxurious bathrooms come from the Victorian era. Well they would be luxurious wouldn't they? After all bathrooms started to be available to more than just the super rich in Victorian times as the middle classes started to emerge from the Industrial Revolution and really went to town.

I love a Victorian bathroom but you really do need a big room to set it up in, steal a guest bedroom and let them book a hotel next time they come to stay.
I have chosen a beautiful buffet sideboard to hold the wash basin instead of a free standing basin.
Well here goes - luxuriate to your heart's content.
Wallpaper and Carpet from Emery et Cie
Bath, WC and Shower Unit from Catchpole and Rye
Bathroom Hurricane Lamp from Charles Edwards
Toilet Roll Holder from Jeanne dArc Living
Buffet Sideboard - find one on eBay
Louis Chair (OK not Victorian but they did use them) from Brocade Home
Potted Palm from Your Local Garden Centre
Towel Rail from Antique Furnishings
White Monogrammed Towels from Vanille
Victorian Birdcage - Stylist's own - I've always wanted to say that on this blog.

Such inspiration. I would love a beautiful, calm but fancy oasis.
