Paris - Day 2 - What You See Isn't Always What You Get

Charlotte and I spent a girly day yesterday wandering around markets and viewing a property together. We stopped in a lovely town - Lagny - which had a beautiful square with a fountain and cafes with lots of tables and chairs outside. We went into one of the cafes for coffee and cake (of course) and we went to use the toilet. It was situated in an ancient part of the otherwise quite normal building and on entering the room I was astounded, it was like a medieval castle with a stone sink and ancient tap. It was fabulous and the only downside was that the toilets were those ones where you stand. I need to practice may aim as all did not go to plan but it was worth it just to see the decor.

It's true that so many buildings haven't been upgraded - but they're so beautiful. My mom fell down in one of those types of toilets in Normandy when she visited last spring.

Fasacinating and plain beautiful. I hate those sorts of toilets - they really test the ol' quads, don't they?

I'm sorry, but try as I might, I just can not see you there. Still lol
