Stumbling Across These Foolish Things

The Foolish Things vintage

On a mission yesterday I decided to go to an area of Newcastle where there is a number of shops that sell secondhand furniture from house clearances. I parked up and saw a shop called These Foolish Things with the most amazing stuff in the window and outside on the street. I thought I recognised the name.

I entered the shop and saw 2 Louis chairs (which I bought) and it was like heaven. I got talking to the owner Gena King and discovered she is the person who writes the blog These Foolish Things and has an online store. Well I had no idea she was in Newcastle.
I could quite happily have curled up on the beautiful Victorian drop end sofa and stayed all day. What a fabulous shop - selling vintage clothes, shoes, furniture, accessories, oh I could go on forever. Take a look and experience nostalgia overload.
