Architecture - Ban It

bad architectureMy blog should not really be polluted by these 2 images but I just felt I had to complain bitterly about these 2 designs. The top on is for the Marques de Riscal Hotel in Alava, Spain and the bottom one, I am ashamed to say, is the plan for the new Tate Modern.
These 2 designs are, in my mind, disgusting and just shouldn't be allowed.

I have a cottage in the National Park and the restrictions when building are unbelievable. So how come these designs get passed. Oh I am going to stop now as my blood is boiling.

I agree with you about that top one, it looks positively hideous, like the end-of-season christmas sales on ribbon where they have great tangles of horrible old ribbon no one wanted to buy then and still don't now....it also looks terribly antifunctional. However, I rather like the design for the Tate Modern. I find it very intriguing.
