Does anyone remember Supergran, the kid's TV series back in the 80s?Innocent Drinks are running a competition to find the best knitted Supergran hat.
They need 175,000 small hats to put on their drinks. For every bottle with a hat on it sold in an EAT café or Sainsbury's between the end of November and Christmas 2006, 50p will go to Age Concern.
As a point of interest. I was a knitwear designer back in the 1980s and I actually was commisioned by Tyne Tees TV to knit Supergran's cardigan.
At the time I was designing and making expensive designer knitwear and selling it around the world so this wasn't really my scene. I did however knit the thing and got the grand total of £16 for it.
