Nacreous Clouds in the Troposphere

Impressed? So you should be. I have been noticing these funny little rainbow effects in the skies over the couple of weeks maybe due to the heatwave we have been experiencing.
So I have made it a mission to find out just what they are. Hey Presto! Nacreous (meaning Mother of Pearl effect) is a cloud resembling a cirrus, showing iridescent coloration when the sun is several degrees below the horizon. Not my words but the words of an expert. Not bad for a girl who was expelled from school.
