A few years ago Harvey and I were in Venice for a week's stay on arriving we found the Venice Film Festival was on. All the big names in the movies were there including Tom Hanks and numerous others. One day we thought we would take a water taxi over to the Lido, not to go to the film festival I might add and due to it being really hot I just slipped a loose dress on with nothing under it at all. The taxi took us in to the Lido through a narrow canal which seemed very quiet. Now he must have thought we were going to the festival as when we were approaching the final bend we heard cameras whirring and clicking and much to our surprise the World's paparazzi were there. The look of confusion on their faces as we alighted the taxi was hilarious. Also a water taxi is not the easiest of things to climb off so they had a great view down my dress. We walked through all this mayhem and came to a gate with numerous security men in dark glasses menacingly guarding the compound. We just walked straight out.Oh and by the way it is on from 30th August-9th September if you want to chance your arm, just say I sent you.
