I came across this image at Abigail Ahern's blog and thought what a great idea it was. I have come across so many beautifully shaped lampshades on my trawls around flea markets and brocantes but most had dreadful fabrics covering them. Re-covering them is not an easy task. So why not just use the frame? Note the way it is tilted to get the most out of the silhouette.
It IS a good idea (as long as there's a non-glare bulb available).
