The Jelly Mongers

the jelly mongers
There's a company in London that does Jelly Parties and they are The Jelly Mongers. There's some of their creations in the picture above. I would love to have a jelly party. Any suggestions as to what flavours I could cook up?

  3. Ok as far as I know, I have never eaten a jelly in my life--especially the milky colored variety, although I am super curious. I'm assuming they taste nothing like jello, right? They are absolutely beautiful though.

  4. Elderflower, rosewater.. You could get one of those amazing Victorian moulds on ebay. Check out www.historicfood.com/jellies.htm The general site is really interesting readig too and the courses are not that far from you I think.

Lovely jubbly, Di. You can make jelly using home-made elderflower cordial + gelatine - totally fab! Another great jelly I invented goes thus: Make a rumtopf by mixing fruit in season with equal amounts of sugar, and covering with rum each time you add more fruit & sugar (use strawberries, gooseberries, cherries, plums, apricots, peaches, raspberries, but don't use apples or blackberries or bananas). Wait till late autumn, give it a stir and serve with ice cream and/or whipped cream. The leftover juices make the most delicious jelly, but you have to add more gelatine than usual because of the alcohol content. Totally fruity and rummy - yummy!
