A Northern Welcome

Driving north on the A1 you sure do know when you are home. The Angel of the North stands alongside the motorway and welcomes you home. Designed by Anthony Gormley it towers of the landscape. Love it or hate it you certainly can't miss it.

    Does it turn with the wind? the arms look like they're made of panels, sorta like a windmill. Interesting.

    I think it means, "I love you this much."
