A DIZZY'S ORIGINAL FROM 1983.
I have mentioned before that I used to be a knitwear designer back in the 1980s. My company was called Dizzy's.
My daughter-in-law asked me to knit a cardigan for little Marcie's (my granddaughter) christening and I haven't knitted for years due to a repetative stress injury from my days as a knitter but I thought - it's only little so it can't do much harm.
However I was really nervous as to whether I could remember how to do it (design and knit at the same time). Well let me tell you it's like riding a bike - you never forget.

A DI OVERTON ORIGINAL FROM 2007
You did that yourself? That is the sweetest most beautiful sweater! What a talent you are!
ReplyDeleteYou did good back then and NOW!!!
ReplyDeleteI can only knit very long narrow useless things and only with soomeone holding a whip.
I did design knitware in the '80s too but just lines on paper..
The pink jacket is adorable :)

ReplyDeleteIs there no end to your talents??
ReplyDeleteOh you are clever!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE to knit, but can only follow a pattern. That little jacket is too cute. I'd definitely buy the pattern.
