Tobias Wong is a fascinating designer. I'm never quite sure whether his designs are serious or not. I suppose he is so famous he can afford to design something that doesn't have to go into production but just makes a statement. He doesn't even have a studio as he admits he just borrows space from galleries. Let me explain the designs I have featured:
The Glass Candlestick also has a glass candle - works with oil.
The chandelier is dipped in industrial white rubber.
The Mac is covered in fabric taken from an Issey Miyake Pleats Please dress.
The pearl earrings are dipped in industrial matte black rubber which is removable.
The collection of items in a row all have diamond encrustations somewhere strange (sorry but you will have to visit the site to see what I mean).
And finally the gift wrap - Andy Warhol prints ranging from $7,500 to $25,000 - WHAT?!

Suddenly I want to be German. I stumbled across this site, I can't remember how and I apologise to the blogger who featured it as I forgot to make a note of who you were. Anyway this is the site of a pair of antique dealers who sell and present their stuff online in a wonderful way. The images are fabulous. Each item and they are not overly expensive, is put in the most exquisite setting. Go and see even more at Emily und Ivy

Now here is a nice site to go visit. Moth Design
have managed to do something different with lights that I haven't seen anyone else do.I am a bit worried however as to what the light coming from the black wall light will look like. Still they are pretty amazing.
These wall tiles from 04i (strange name) are fabulous. I just love the number range. I'm a sucker for fonts and love to see font layouts done in quirky ways but I never thought I'd see that on a wall tile. I would like to slap the wrists of their web designer however. What possessed them to have a pale blue background with these beautiful items?

These shower curtains from Wrapables just appeal. I love it when I look at something and it instantly says -buy me. Shower curtains are like big blank canvases that you are free to put anything on.
Why doesn't someone do a blank with fabric pens so you can do your own?

I'll come clean here, I am not an animal lover. I just have a basic mistrust of anything that doesn't talk to me. However I would never hurt an animal unless it was hurting me. I do acknowledge the fact that there are lots of people out there that do idolise their pets and I thought they may like to see this range of, very understated yet beautiful items, for their little friends. That Dog Bed is heated! All designed by Charlotte Copping
When I owned wheredidyoubuythat.com I bought some of Duffy London's Canvas Lights. They are a fabulous idea as they can be hung from the ceiling or mounted on the wall. Today I checked out their site for something new and was so pleased they have come up with some more. Take a look.

In the retail industry this is the most important piece of advertising. I love these ideas that bring the bag to life.

OK we all know how they do it, because there's never anyone to help you, you have to do everything yourself and the queues are horrendous.
But really how do they make and sell this large frame (85cm x 59cm) for £19.99? I've seen it in the flesh and it is fabulous and big and cheap. If you want one it goes by the strange name of UNG DRILL.
In Gateshead nearby my home we have one of the largest IKEA stores in the world, you need a bus to get around it.

Every year I find it harder and harder to buy gifts for the family as everyone seems to have everything they either need or want. Wallah! found something that no one really needs but 10 out of 10 to iattire.com for coming up with these to bring a smile to all iPod fans. I am not one of these fans, though I do recognise it is a great product, I don't feel the need to have music blasting in my ears 24/7. There are 100s of little costumes for all models of iPod at this store. Via Cool Hunting
This would be my sort of stroll in the park. A sedate meander leaving a pretty trail behind me.
A graduates design at the Dutch Design Awards. 10 out of 10 for humour.

When it comes to shoes I am so fussy. I have to look and say instantly they are for me and when I try them on I have to say COMFORTABLE or I will never wear them.
All that said, I just adore the full range from this Parisian designer, Bruno Frisoni. I have yet to try them on but I will report back when I next visit Paris.

The talents of the designers that come out of this academy is stunning. I always try to follow the careers of these people and the majority seem to make it on the world stage.

This design team Studio Room 906 come up with some weird and wonderful ideas. Their site is worth a look but be patient as it takes a while to download but it is worth it, believe me. Now this idea worries me somewhat. When vacuuming does the rug part get sucked up. Whatever my doubts I think this looks pretty effective.

Just how many tape measures did this take to make? I love it though. Designed by Chrissy

Take it from one who knows, turning old stuff into new stuff is difficult. My Ghost Furniture range is coming close to being launched but it has taken months to perfect the paint techniques that work to make old into new. So I have to applaud Rebecca Ward for turning old keyboards into pieces of humorous yet attractive pieces of jewellry. With the amount of keyboards I have thrown away over my years in the advertising business I could have started a global jewellry company.

Even though I can't buy anything from Anthropologie I still just have to go and see what they are doing.
These cushions (pillows) whatever are beautiful. This sort of accessorie can make or break a room and these would fit into my lounge quite nicely. Ah well never mind.

If you can't find a comfortable seat, life is a pain in the butt. This is just a little collection of my favourites. The fabulous yellow leather chair is from Burke and Hazelden and the weird black chair is from Conran.
I love a traditional leather Chesterfield and the sofa below that has a clever storage shelf in the back. Pinstripes on furniture do it for me and the traditional Knoll Sofa is from a company based in Northumberland, Hepple.
